Who we are

My name is Massimo Cuccagna and my adventure in the world of numismatics began on September 4, 2003, when I opened my eBay account with a simple idea: to sell and buy collectible coins. Since then, I have completed over 13,400 transactions, driven by a genuine passion that still accompanies me today.

It was from this passion that, in July 2018, www.hobocoin.it was born: a website entirely dedicated to collectible silver and gold coins, and of course to the much-loved Hobo Nickel Coins. My goal was clear from the start: to create a simple, fast-to-navigate, and accessible space for all collectors, whether beginners or experts, to feel at home.

Navigating Hobo Coin is easy and intuitive. I wanted a clean, essential, no-frills website where you can find the most interesting coins in just a few clicks, discover their characteristics and, above all, purchase them safely and securely. It doesn't take hours to find your way around: just a few seconds to start exploring and be inspired.

We pay particular attention to Hobo Nickel Coins, true works of art created during the Great Depression. Hand-carved on five-cent coins, they tell stories of rebellion, creativity, and itinerant life.
